Care Ministry

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2

The Care Ministry is a network of helpful resources we offer to those in need and those who are hurting. We are here for those struggling with the loss of a loved one, needing help getting back on your feet, or anything in between. Whether you're in need of care or want to serve, the Care Ministry has a place for you.

One Conversation

One Conversation

Life can be tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone. We want to help. Whatever you’re facing, we know that the first step to getting past whatever is holding you back is to reach out and talk to someone. What if success is one conversation away?

Prayer

Prayer

Every Sunday our trained volunteers talk and pray with people about whatever is going on in their life. We would love to see you on Sunday or meet with you during the week. Don't want to wait until Sunday? Submit a prayer request below.

Our Care Ministries

Our Care Ministries are here to walk with you through life’s challenges, offering hope, support, and prayer when you need it most.

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by their Stephen Leaders to offer care to people who are hurting. A Stephen Minister typically has one care receiver at a time and meets with that person once a week for about an hour.

"Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2

Why Stephen?

In Acts 6, Stephen was among those chosen to provide caring ministry to those in need. Since Jesus’ time, caring ministry has been a hallmark of the Christian faith community.

Stephen Ministry offers a proven and effective way to organize, equip, and supervise a team of congregation members—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties.

Who is involved?

Stephen Leaders at the Fellowship Church are lay leaders trained to provide ongoing leadership for our congregation’s Stephen Ministry. They are equipped for this key role through the Bridge Leader’s Training Course offered by Stephen Ministries in St. Louis.

Need Care from a Stephen Minster?

Stephen Ministers are members of your congregation trained to provide one-to-one, Christ-centered care. They have a compassionate heart for those who are hurting, and they're equipped with caring ministry skills by your congregation's Stephen Leaders.

Serve with Stephen Ministry

Has God wired you to serve him by loving on people one-on-one, face-to-face? Stephen Ministers are lay people trained to give one-on-one care to others when they need a listening ear and encouraging heart. That could be you.

It hurts to lose someone. When you do, you can find help at GriefShare®.

GriefShare® is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. You don't have to go through the grieving process alone.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." - Psalm 147:3

What is GriefShare®?

GriefShare® is a 13-week course that provides a place for healing from the death of a loved one. At each meeting, the group will watch a DVD on topics such as "Is This Normal?," "Grief and Your Relationships," "Guilt and Anger," and other meaningful topics. After the video, we will meet in small groups to discuss the video and work through the healing process.

Through GriefShare®, you can find a community that has walked through loss as you have and discovered a path to start your healing process. The next course begins Fall 2025.

Who should attend?

If you are grieving the death of a loved one and desire to heal from your pain, our 13-week GriefShare® class provides support and resources to help. Participants watch a weekly video of grief experts, meet in small discussion groups, and use the provided workbook for personal application.

GriefShare is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You'll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

DivorceCare® & DivorceCare® for Kids (DC4K)

DivorceCare® is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making.

"Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep." - Romans 12:15

What is DivorceCare®?

Through the 13-week DivorceCare® ministry offered here at The Fellowship, you will find that God did not abandon you, but loves you and wants to walk with you through this time. And you will be guided to continue that walk with the Lord as you go forward in the next season of your life.

The focus of every session points people to Jesus for healing. Separation and divorce change people's lives immediately and for years to come. It affects every member of the family - immediate and extended. It changes relationships outside of the family. Some of those relationships are lost forever. And sometimes, your relationship with God changes. You may feel abandoned by God or unloved by God. You may wonder, "Am I still important to God?"

What is DC4K®?

DC4K (DivorceCare for Kids) is specifically designed to reduce the immediate and long-term impact of divorce on children’s academics, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth. As children navigate the healing process, they develop stronger and healthier relationships with their parents, God, and others.

Volunteer for Care Meals

The Fellowship Care Meals Ministry provides meals for families. Volunteers can prepare or purchase a meal to be delivered to the home. The meal providers sign up for the date they desire, depending on their availability and location.

"Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality." - Romans 12:13

Care meal volunteers will receive an email from TakeThemAMeal.com, communicating the family's needs. The website link will include the number of family members, ages, dates, and food restrictions/allergies. We appreciate your participation in this Care Ministry outreach.
