We value membership at The Fellowship.
God gave the church to His children – a spiritual family to belong to. Membership helps build up, strengthen, serve, rebuke, and pray for Christians. As a member, you can help shape the church for global impact.
What does it take to be a member?
To be a member of The Fellowship requires a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus (Romans 10:9-10). Inclusion in the larger, universal body of Christ is the only biblical prerequisite to membership in a local body of believers. If you have questions about salvation, please talk to us after the class.
On the heels of belief, New Testament Christians demonstrated their entrance into the New Covenant by being baptized. According to the example we see in the New Testament, we encourage baptism before, or as part of, the membership process.
Expectations of members
We expect members to align with our vision, values, and belief statement The commitment we ask you to make is based on Scripture:
• Be committed to the vision of The Fellowship Church - We are here to reach people for Christ, and to help believers grow to be like Him (Matthew 28:18–20)
• Be actively seeking Jesus in your personal time:
(Romans 12:2, John 3:16–17, Proverbs 27:17)
• Be a champion of church unity:
(1 Peter 1:22, Ephesians 4:29, Hebrews 13:7)
• Be a contributor of The Fellowship Church:
(2 Corinthians 9:7, 12, 1 Peter 4:10, Ephesians 6:18)
We believe church is a family
God expects you to be a member of the church family.
• We are family
As a family we gather to enjoy our Father, and encourage one another (Hebrews 10:24-25)
As God’s family we love one another as Christ loves us (John 13:34, John 13:35)
• We help one another
We receive accountability and support (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
We become known and cared for (Romans 12:13,15)
• We reach and grow together
We are called to Reach People for (Christ Acts 1:8)
We are called to help other believers grow to be like Jesus (Ephesians 4:11-12)
The Heart of Serving
We serve for a multitude of reasons here at The Fellowship.
• We love God, we love His Church and we love His people.
Out of our overflow of love and worship to God, we commit to serving with the local church. We believe that God loves the local church (Ephesians. 5:25-27) and that He will use the church to reach people for Jesus and help them grow to be like Him.
• Biblical Servanthood
We look at Jesus’ model for us as a kingly servant of men. Jesus is showing His love to ALL of His disciples in this act.

• God is brought glory through our gifts
God has given you gifts that should be used to bring Him glory.
